Disinfect a Boarding Kennel without Chemicals

Some of the signs and symptoms a dog would experience when they contract parvovirus would include serious vomiting and episodes of diarrhea. Bloody stool is also a common manifestation of parvovirus making clean up of your boarding kennel quite a bit more challenging. Parvovirus can be fatal and the disease can be transmitted from one canine to another with contaminated fecal matter. In the past we have turned to the use of chemical-based cleaners to clean up after an incident of parvovirus. There are many problems that accompany the use of chemical-based cleaners including the residue that they leave behind. This chemical residue may stimulate allergic reactions of people and animals that visit your kennel. More importantly, these chemical-based cleaners can be very hazardous to pets at your kennel. Although the effects of these chemical-based cleaners and their residue may not be seen immediately, they will accumulate over time having an effect on people and pets that come into contact with them.

So how are you going to clean, disinfect and sanitize your boarding kennel? There is a very simple answer that is also a very serious solution. That solution is using a steam cleaner to clean your kennel rather than using chemical-based cleaners. Steam cleaners are also capable of cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing many other surfaces at your boarding kennel or your home. With the high temperature steam vapor that steam cleaners generate they are also capable of eliminating bed bugs, fleas, flea larvae, bacteria, germs, viruses, mold and mildew in addition to many allergens including dust mites. Using a steam cleaner to clean your boarding kennel rather than harmful chemical-based cleaners offers you a healthier solution for creating a better environment for your pets and their owners.

Canine Parvovirus and MRSA are a major concern for kennels and veterinarian clinics. Once your kennel or clinic is infected it can be difficult to get rid of. In the past it was recommended that you use chlorine diluted with water but you had to be certain of the dilution rate.
